“Sharing is essential for a future we build together. I hope that through my act of giving, our neighbors, too, will have a brighter future.”
A new member — the 382nd in Busan — has joined the Honor Society, a group of high-value donors who contribute over 100 million won, operated by the Community Chest of Korea Busan (Chairman: Lee Soo-tae) under its Fruit of Love campaign.
On the afternoon of the 24th, the Community Chest of Korea held an induction ceremony for Kim Kyung-ho (44), CEO of Taeyang Global Co., Ltd. at the Busan Fruit of Love conference hall.
The ceremony was attended by donor Kim, Chairman Lee Soo-tae of Busan Fruit of Love, Chairman Lee Sung-geun of the Busan Honor Society Club (hereafter “Busan Honor Club”), and CEO Song Hae-hwa of Ocean Entec Co., Ltd. (Busan Honor Member No. 201).
At the ceremony, CEO Kim pledged a donation of 100 million won, becoming the 382nd Busan member of the Honor Society.
Born in 1981, Kim shared that he worked hard balancing studies and work despite growing up in a modest environment. He said, “Based on my innate diligence and the perseverance and passion I developed through diverse social experiences, I founded Taeyang Global Co., Ltd. in 2014. Through hard work and dedication, the company has grown into a sound business exporting ship engine components to Europe and Japan.”
Taeyang Global has achieved impressive results, receiving the Million-Dollar Export Tower in December 2023 and the Three-Million-Dollar Export Tower in December of the following year.
Kim remarked, “Although I had a difficult childhood, I was able to overcome challenges and reach this point thanks to the warm love and support of my family after meeting my wife and starting a family. I believe sharing is necessary for the future, and I hope my donation will help bring hope and light to those in need.”
Chairman Lee Soo-tae of Busan Fruit of Love said, “Though the cold winter has passed and warm spring is here, there are still many struggling neighbors around us. CEO Kim Kyung-ho’s generous donation will be delivered as a source of warmth and comfort to those in need.”
The Honor Society is Korea’s leading high-value donor club, created by Fruit of Love to promote the spirit of noblesse oblige. Membership is open to those who donate at least 100 million won or pledge to donate 20 million won annually for five years.
