Busan Metropolitan City, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Busan Office (headed by Kwon Do-gyeom), and the Busan Specialized Trading Companies Association (chaired by Song Hae-hwa) held an exchange and welcome event for newly designated specialized trading companies on the 26th of last month at the Lotte Hotel Busan. The event was attended by around 40 specialized trading companies from the Busan area, along with representatives from embassies and consulates of major countries such as China, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.
Specialized trading companies support domestic manufacturing firms in expanding overseas and diversifying exports by discovering foreign buyers and acting as export agents. This year, 101 companies have been newly designated nationwide, bringing the total number of operating companies to 678. In Busan, 15 companies were newly added this year, bringing the total to 81 designated companies.
